HOW TO DESCRIBE PEOPLE, EVENTS AND ROUTINES?

Describing people is an important skill to learn. Sometimes it becomes hard to describe people, but after going through this post, you will learn the proper way and vocabulary to describe people.

So when we describe people, we need to consider the three most important categories.

  1. Describing people

General appearance

–    Build

–    Personality

Now let’s talk about the specific categories.

(1). General appearance

General appearance means how the person looks and how they perform their acts!

Here is some important vocabulary from it:

BEAUTIFUL-MIDDLE AGED

PRETTY-OLD

ELEGANT-HANDSOME

FUNNY-GORGEOUS

CUTE-UGLY

Young, attractive

(2). Build

When we describe people, we also need to focus on how they build up. For example, fat, thin, slim, etc.

Here is some important vocabulary from it:

WELL-BUILT

PLUMP

THIN

FAT

SLIM

MASCULAR

(3). Personality

Personality is an important factor in any person, and when describing them, we have to mention it in a proper way.

Here is some important vocabulary from it:

SELF OBSESSED-INSINCERE

ENTERTAINING: POSITIVE

HUMOURLESS-MOODY

DULL-GRUMPY

DISHONEST – INCONSIDERATE

Events are part of life. And we also describe the many events of life. We can divide different events in life into many categories. Here is the vocabulary for it:

ULTIMATE, COMMON, SUSPICIOUS

Rare, unusual, and significant

Divine, historical, and memorable

VIOLENT, MAJOR, POSSIBLE

STELLAR, HUGE, and DISASTROUS

 

ASSUME YOU HAVE BEEN INVITED TO RECEIVE AN AWARD BY THE CHIEF MINISTER OF THE STATE. How WILL YOU DESCRIBE THIS EVENT?

Routines are regular activities that we follow. Here is the vocabulary to explain your routine:
